In North Carolina, he taught sculpture and rustic furniture design at Duke and North Carolina State Universities, and in South Carolina, he taught at Converse College and the University of South Carolina Spartanburg. " "

In Maine, in addition to the University of Maine, he has taught at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, and the Ellsworth School System.
